What is the difference between Reconditioned and Rebottled IBCs?
Reconditioned IBC Totes: Reconditioned and certified for further work-use operations, excluding potable water applications. A reconditioned tank means the entire IBC container has seen prior use but has been fully cleaned, inspected, and certified according to UN/DOT 31HA1/Y permitting and inspection requirements, approving them for packing group II and III, hazardous and non-hazardous materials. *Not used for drinking and/or potable water.
Rebottled IBC Totes: Feature a 100% newly manufactured container within a refurbished steel cage. Rebottled poly totes (composite IBCs) have had all previously used plastic removed and replaced, and are fabricated and certified for food-grade and potable water applications. Rebottled IBCs are designed and tested for UN/DOT shipping of compatible liquid commodities, non-hazardous and hazardous packing group II and III materials. *Commonly used for drinking and/or potable water.
