These U-shaped steel dividers bolt to the side of a pallet rack upright and run front to back along the beam level, so a pallet cannot be pushed up against the frame. The result is a consistent transverse flue space on every level, which is what fire inspectors look for when they check that sprinkler water can reach the lower tiers. Mounting hardware is included and nothing is welded.

How many you need
One divider per upright, per beam level, on each side where a pallet sits. A bay with pallets on both sides of an upright takes two per level at that upright. It is the gap between pallets that sit side by side across an upright, running front to back through the rack. Fire codes and insurers commonly require a consistent transverse flue so sprinkler water can reach the lower levels; the dimension required is set by your local code and your rack layout.
Does it work with my uprights?
It fits teardrop uprights, including Interlake and Mecalux styles, whether or not the upright has side holes. It does not fit structural C-channel uprights.
Is the hardware included?
Yes. Each divider ships with two L-bolts and four self-drilling Tek screws for the mounting plate.
Which depth do I order?
Match the frame depth: 42 in dividers for 42 in deep frames, 48 in for 48 in deep. Measure from the front upright to the back upright.
Does it damage the upright?
The mounting plate bolts through the upright's existing side holes where they exist and uses the Tek screws where they do not. No welding and no drilling of the upright column.
