Protect the column without giving up aisle space. These 24 in. bolt-on frame guards wrap the front and sides of a pallet rack upright and fasten to the column face with the T-bolt hardware in the box. A bull-nose deflector at the base turns a forklift strike away from the column, and because the guard is bolted to the upright it stiffens the frame at the same time. Nothing sits out in the aisle, which is the difference from a floor-mounted column guard.

Standard or seismic
The standard guard fits a 3 in. wide column with a normal footplate. The seismic guard is cut for the enlarged footplates used on seismic-rated racking and anchors through the footplate with the supplied bolt and two T-bolts. Measure the column width and look at the footplate before ordering; if the plate extends well past the column on the aisle side, you want the seismic version.

Will it fit my upright?
Both versions fit a 3 in. wide column, which covers most teardrop and structural racking. Choose the seismic version if your uprights have the enlarged footplates used on seismic-rated rack.
Do I need to anchor it to the floor?
The guard holds on the column with the T-bolts alone. A floor anchor through the bull nose adds stability and is recommended where forklifts contact the rack regularly. The anchor is not included.
