1200x1100mm Export Plastic Pallet – Heavy Duty, ISPM-15 Exempt
The Asian standard footprint, molded in the USA. 1200 by 1100 millimetres – about 47 by 43 inches – is the standard pallet across much of Asia and Australasia, and it is what a lot of ocean containers are packed to. This is the heavy duty version: 5,000 lb dynamic, 30,000 lb static, six full-length runners, 65.5 lb. Being plastic it is exempt from ISPM-15, which removes the treatment and stamping that trips up wood on international shipments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the 1200x1100mm pallet size used?
It is the common standard across much of Asia and Australasia, including Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, and it appears throughout regional supply chains. If you are shipping into those markets, or your customer is working to a metric pallet standard, this is the footprint they expect. It is also a reasonable fit for ocean container loading, where it wastes less floor than a 48x40 in some configurations.
Do I need ISPM-15 treatment for international shipping?
Not with a plastic pallet. ISPM-15 regulates solid wood packaging material only, so plastic is exempt outright – no heat treatment, no methyl bromide fumigation, no IPPC stamp, and no inspection hold over pallet certification. On international lanes that is often the whole reason to switch away from wood, quite apart from durability.
How does this compare to a Euro pallet?
Different standard. A Euro pallet is 1200 by 800 mm, a narrower rectangle. This is 1200 by 1100 mm, much closer to square and considerably larger in deck area. They are not interchangeable – Euro-standard racking and automated systems are built to 1200x800 and will not accept this. Confirm which standard your destination actually uses before ordering.
Is the 1200x1100mm pallet rack rated?
No. The 30,000 lb static rating applies on a solid floor, not across beams. This model carries no published rack rating in any configuration. If the pallet is going into racking at destination, specify a rack-rated pallet or make sure the receiving racking has decking fitted.
Can I still use it domestically?
Yes, with one caveat: at 47 by 43 inches it does not match US 48x40 racking or standard trailer loading patterns, so you will lose some efficiency in a domestic warehouse built around GMA pallets. It makes sense when the pallet is going overseas, or when you are running one pallet standard across an international operation and would rather not manage two.
