A nestable pallet a pallet jack can actually get into. Standard nestable pallets sit on nine separate feet, which is fine for a forklift and awkward for a pallet jack. This one runs three full-length runners down the underside instead, so a jack rolls straight in and the load is carried along the whole length rather than on nine points. It still nests for storage and return, and at 24 lb it is built heavier than a throwaway export pallet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose a 3-runner pallet over a 9-leg nestable pallet?
It comes down to how you move it. Nine separate feet leave gaps that a pallet jack wheel can drop into, so nine-leg nestables are really forklift pallets. Three continuous runners give a jack a clear path from either end and spread the load along the full length of the pallet instead of concentrating it on nine points. If everything in your building moves on a jack rather than a forklift, the runner base is the one to buy.
Can a pallet jack be used from all four sides?
No. The runners run the length of the pallet, so a pallet jack enters from either 40-inch end. A forklift can enter from all four sides, since forks are narrow enough to straddle the runners. If you need genuine four-way jack access you want a pallet with notched runners or a full perimeter base – tell us the equipment and we will point you at the right one.
How is this different from the standard 48x40 export nestable?
Heavier and stronger, at a higher price. The basic export nestable is 17 lb on nine feet and is built to ship out once. This is 24 lb on three runners, which makes it more durable in repeated handling and far easier to move with a jack. If the pallet is leaving and never coming back, the lighter one is the better buy. If it is going to cycle in your building, this one lasts.
Does it still nest for storage?
Yes. Empty pallets nest 17 to a stack and a 53-foot trailer holds 510. That is less dense than a nine-leg nestable, which stacks 70 – the runners take up space that feet do not. It still beats a non-nesting pallet by a wide margin on both storage footprint and return freight.
Is this pallet suitable for international shipping?
Yes. ISPM-15 applies only to solid wood packaging, so every plastic pallet is exempt. No heat treatment, no fumigation, no IPPC stamp, and no risk of a customs hold over pallet certification.
