End of aisle rack protectors – 12 in steel guards for the exposed end of a pallet rack row
The end of the row takes the most hits. Forklifts turn, cut the corner and misjudge the last upright, so that is where racking gets damaged first. These end of aisle rack protectors bolt to the floor around the foot of the end frame and put 12 in of 5/16 in steel between the truck and the upright. They come in 42 and 48 in lengths to match the frame depth, as a double unit that wraps both uprights or a left or right unit for one, and the four concrete wedge anchors are included.
Also called: end of aisle protectors, rack end protectors, pallet rack end guards, aisle end guards, end-of-row rack protectors, forklift rack end guards. If you have been searching under any of those names, this is the product.

Double: wraps both uprights

Left or right: one upright

Anchored in front of the frame foot

Where the hits happen
How it works
- 12 in tall, 5/16 in thick steel on a 5 x 3 x 7/16 in steel angle base
- 42 or 48 in long to match the depth of the rack frame it protects
- Double, left or right – the double unit wraps both uprights of the end frame; left and right units wrap one
- Four ¾ in concrete wedge anchors included for the anchor holes in the base
- Safety-yellow powder coat; filler angle lengths available for other frame depths
Sizes
| Model | Fits frame depth | Configuration | Height | Steel | Anchors included | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 42 in double | 42 in | wraps both uprights | 12 in | 5/16 in | 4 x ¾ in | 56.6 lb |
| 42 in left | 42 in | one upright, left | 12 in | 5/16 in | 4 x ¾ in | 43.2 lb |
| 42 in right | 42 in | one upright, right | 12 in | 5/16 in | 4 x ¾ in | 43.2 lb |
| 48 in double | 48 in | wraps both uprights | 12 in | 5/16 in | 4 x ¾ in | 60.8 lb |
| 48 in left | 48 in | one upright, left | 12 in | 5/16 in | 4 x ¾ in | 47.3 lb |
| 48 in right | 48 in | one upright, right | 12 in | 5/16 in | 4 x ¾ in | 47.3 lb |
Choosing the configuration
Measure the depth of the end frame (42 or 48 in on most selective rack) and look at which uprights are exposed. A row end that traffic can hit from both sides takes the double unit. A frame that is exposed on one side only, such as at a T-intersection or against a wall, takes a left or right unit. If you are not sure which side you need, send us a photo of the row end and we will confirm the part before it ships.
For the uprights inside the row, see our pallet rack column protectors; for low beam levels in reach-truck aisles, the 4 in V-nose post protectors; for dock doors and walkways, steel guard rail kits. Browse the full rack accessories range.
Frequently asked questions
Are the floor anchors included?
Yes. Each protector ships with four ¾ in concrete wedge anchors for the holes in its angle base.
42 in or 48 in?
Match the depth of the rack frame. Most selective pallet rack frames are 42 or 48 in deep; measure from the front upright to the back upright. Other depths can be covered with filler angle lengths, so ask if your frame is a different size.
Double, left or right?
Double wraps both uprights of the end frame and suits a row end exposed on both sides. Left and right wrap one upright each, for frames exposed on one side only. Send us a photo if you are unsure and we will confirm the part.
Will it fit my rack?
It is built for standard 42 and 48 in deep pallet rack frames and bolts to the floor around the existing uprights, so nothing on the rack has to be changed. Check that your first beam level clears 12 in.
Can I add it to racking that is already loaded?
Yes. The protector anchors to the floor in front of and beside the frame foot; the rack stays where it is.

Heavy-Duty End of Aisle Protection for High-Traffic Zones
End of aisle locations are the most vulnerable points in any pallet rack system — where forklifts turn, intersect, and navigate at speed. These heavy-duty end of aisle rack protectors shield the entire depth of your rack frame from impact, preventing costly damage in the highest-risk areas of your warehouse.
