Six runners and a genuine rack rating, at mid duty weight. 5,000 lb on the forks, 15,000 lb on the floor, and 800 lb across rack beams – a real published figure, not a static number borrowed to imply one. At 42 lb it is twelve pounds lighter than our full structural 6-runner and several dollars cheaper, which makes it the right pallet when loads are moderate but some of them do go in a rack. Molded in the USA from 100% recycled plastic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 800 lb enough for my racking?
It depends on what a loaded pallet actually weighs. Weigh one rather than estimating – this is the number people get wrong. If a full pallet comes in under 800 lb this model is rated for it. If it is heavier, move up to our 48x40 rack-rated 6-runner, which starts at 1,000 lb and reaches 3,000 lb with rod reinforcement. Never round a rack rating up in your favour.
How is this different from the heavy duty 48x40 6-runner?
Weight, rating and price. This one is 42 lb, rated 15,000 lb static and 800 lb in a rack. The heavy duty version is 54 lb, rated 25,000 lb static and 1,000 to 3,000 lb in a rack, and costs a few dollars more. Buy this one for moderate loads and light racking; buy the heavy duty one when the load is genuinely heavy or the pallet lives in a beam.
What is the difference between the long and short rod options?
The direction they run. Long rods run the 48-inch length, short rods run across the 40-inch width. Rods do the most good when they run the same way as the unsupported span in your rack, so they are bridging the gap between beams. In a standard rack with the 40-inch edge on the beams, short rods carry the load. Tell us your rack orientation and we will spec it correctly.
Why would I choose 10 rods?
Maximum stiffness. Ten rods is for the heaviest loads this pallet handles, loads that concentrate weight in the middle, or long unsupported runs on a conveyor. It is also the most expensive configuration, so if you are reaching for it regularly it is usually cheaper overall to buy the heavy duty pallet instead.
Does it work with stretch wrappers and conveyors?
Yes. Injection molded pallets hold consistent dimensions, which is exactly what automated equipment needs. Wood varies between pallets and that variation is the usual cause of jams. The 20 top deck grommets also give the stretch wrap something to anchor against at the base of the load.
